Many of our databases are commercial and licensed for educational use only. These will prompt you for a K-State eID and password to gain access. Other databases are free to the public, on and off-campus, though there are a few databases that restrict access to on-campus use only.

Working with Permalinks  - check out our guide on how to use permalinks to simplify access to resources

Proxy Bookmarklet - If you access articles off-campus or share articles with off-campus K-State colleagues and students, install the proxy bookmarklet on your browser's bookmarks toolbar. Whenever you are on a site that requires K-State access, click on the bookmarklet. You will be asked to login, and then redirected to the proxied version of the site. Check out our instructions here!

Use Link It to add our proxy URL to the beginning of the permalink.
