Community Access: Services and Technology

As a member of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) and as a land-grant institution, we proudly serve Kansas residents. We offer community cards for any Kansan, including our alumni. Visit one of our Library Help Desks if you'd like to get a community card. Not sure where to go? Email us at libhelp@ksu.edu for more information.

For assistance with the databases or with your information needs, check out this page on resources for community users or Ask a Librarian. Most of our databases/journal subscription contracts do not allow use for non-students/employees but some access is available to users on campus. You might also find this site useful: http://unpaywall.org/ - if you're searching online and come across an article with a paywall (i.e. that requires a journal subscription), unpaywall will search for the same title on open access sites. In addition, we recommend checking with your public library for additional services available to you.

To learn what hardware and software is available on the computers at any of our libraries, contact the individual library directly. For assistance with software, contact the IT Help Desklocated in the Cats Pause Lounge, K-State Student Union or call 785-532-7722.
